Elephants & Red Lips

Spring is on the way which means that I can finally get back into the boho a animal print trends that I adore. I spotted this gorgeous batwing top in Newlook when I was in town, buying a casserole dish (I don't even know how I ended up in Newlook). I had to get this top as I knew it would go perfectly with this pretty little elephant pendant the I got from Debee who, have the prettiest selection of boho style jewellery for amazing prices, check them out here. I'm pretty picky when it comes to jewellery, I don't tend to wear anything on my wrist other than my watch and Pandora bracelet and since we got engaged, I prefer to just wear my ring, Earrings are bit of a no-go for me. I have teeny tiny ears and have to wear small, simple studs or my ear lobes hurt. Luke knows this and treated me to some real pearl studs for Valentine's Day so I don't tend to wear anything else. Necklaces are where I get to mix and match and the length of the chain in this pendant makes it a subtle-statement which, I love.

Last week I was feeling pretty crap, it was that time of the month where I become a whiney, angry and lazy little b*tch. Luke managed to quash my inner-demon by bringing some little treats after work. These consisted of a new Mascara, a Barry M nail polish in yellow, a hazelnut latte and, this little red wonder from Revlon HD wonder in 895 Poppy. I've not used a Revlon lip product before and was surprised with this. As we all know, I have dry lips and hate the drying effect of lip colours. Although all lip products are undeniably drying to a degree, this one, is less so than others. The creamy formulation semi-moisturises lips during application which, is always a bonus. I love the shade, it perfectly matches my skin tone and is great for this sunnier weather. Well done Luke, you're well on your way to being a proper blogger.

  1. Love the necklace and the lipstick! I think shops have some kind of magnets that pull us towards them, that is why we always end up in a clothes shop. I'm sure. x
