Heaven by Deborah Mitchell*

I picked up these bottles of moisturiser and gel from Heaven Skincare at the Bloggers Festival a couple of months ago with Lucy, I've had quite a few skin care products to try so it's taken me a while to get around to slapping these on my face, I've been using both products for the past two weeks and I'm pretty happy with the overall results. The ladies at the Heaven skincare stand at the festival were lovely and gave us a good old run down about the products and advised what would be best for our skin's needs. I was given the Pigmentation | Oil Balancing Youthful moisturiser and the Peppermint Clarifying Hydrogel that also works as a primer.

Youthful Moisturiser

I haven't been using the Youthful Moisturiser quite as regularly as I should due to my problematic hormonal skin sometimes needing something with a little more oomf to deal with it's tantrums. As a general day to day moisturiser this stuff works fine, it applies well, soaks in quickly and barely leaves any residue on the skin. The only thing I'm not too keen on is the fragrance, it's not specifically fragranced but the scent it does have just doesn't please my nose as much as the peppermint hydrogel. One thing I love about both products us the packaging, not only are the sleek, shiny and oh so blogger - the lids twist upwards to reveal a pump dispenser which means no losing lids (something I cannot stand) and less chance of leaking products on the go).

Peppermint Clarifying Hydrogel

I've been using the Peppermint Clarifying Hydrogel more so than the moisturiser because my skin has fallen out with my trusty old UD primer, the oily skin around my nose combined with the UD primer is making my foundation crack which is not a look I'm too fond of. I started using the Heaven Hydrogel and this instantly settled. I think the gel formula makes a huge difference in the way it sits on my skin - I wait until it goes slightly tacky before I apply my foundation and then use my Slay setting spray to seal the deal. I love the pepperminty whiff of the Hygdrogel, it gives the gel a slight tingle that makes my face feel that touch more awake in the morning rather than the shriveled up scowling mess it usually is. I've also noticed a reduction in the amount of breakouts I have since using the gel as well as my overall complexion being much more even with less blemishes. If you're looking for a refreshing primer that's also dead good for your skin then I highly recommend getting some of this peppermint goodness on yerrr face!
