IT Cosmetics Your Skin But Better CC+ Serum

Full coverage Colour Correcting cream? Nah, you're having me on mate. Turns out It Cosmetics are not pulling our legs with this one and have successfully created a CC cream that is a lot more than a tinted moisturiser, which is what I have found most CC and BB creams to effectively be.

IT cosmetics isn't a brand I've been overly interested in before now - It's nothing against them, I just haven't looked into them enough and we all know how I like to do my research. IT cosmetics was founded by former Journalist and Beauty Pageant Queen, Jamie Kern Lima who is said to have initially developed the line due to wanting a product that works well under fluorescent studio lights - after working extensively with plastic surgeons and skincare professionals she developed a collection that not only provided outstanding coverage but was also good for the skin, I mean that's pretty much the dream isn't it. Her cosmetics soon became highly popular by the Dancing with the Stars cast as well as well on QVC where she gained more publicity and soon became strong competition with the big fishes over in the States.

I want to have my cake and eat it (when you think about that's a stupid saying because why else would you have a cake) what I mean is, I want to have a fully covered face without having to beat it it to a pulp. This is something I didn't think was possible until I tried the CC+ cream, I am totally on board with the the whole 'your skin but better' thing that IT Cosmetics have going on as well as the idea of nourishing your skin and not just covering it. I also love the no make-up, make-up look but have blemished skin that looks naff when I don't use a foundation - the CC+ cream has been a total game changer in my aim to achieve this goal and it's probably thanks to ingredients such as Collagen, Hyaluronic Acid and a multitude of vitamins.

Upon swatching the cream, I was surprised at how thick it is in consistency - I expected something more cream like but should've thought better with it being full coverage. I ordered it in shade medium on a total whim as I'd recently tanned and needed something darker. My first swatch concerned me a little as it seemed a tad too warm for my complexion but as soon as I applied it to my face it blended like a dream and was a perfect match for my tan. I noticed that it immediately evened out my complexion and my red cheeks and eye bags seemed blurred and left my skin with a dewy glow that for once, didn't look greasy. The fuller coverage means that contouring and adding blush doesn't over-do the look and you really can create a natural look that doesn't result in gasps of horror.

The nourishing elements to the cream ensured that it didn't cake near my oily areas and I noticed that after a couple of weeks of use, my skin actually felt and looked better each time making it apply even better and leave an amazing looking finish. It lasts all day and even survived that big old beast from the east so it's pretty much a winner in my eyes. IT cosmetics advise applying the cream with a brush but I'be been using a damp beauty blender and haven't had any problems. I think I can safely say that this will be a product that I re-purchase, it might even make it to holy grail status. It's so easy to use and wear and gives me a subtle glow without a heavy feel as well as looking after my skin whilst it's at it.

Now, it is on the slightly expensive side at £30 a pop but I would say it is completely worth it also, if you're a little broke like me you can buy it via Easy Pay at QVC and pay in 3 instalments (I am all about that easy pay life). I've shared some unedited photos of my big old face below so you can get a good idea of the finished product.

  4. Love this post. I've never tried a CC cream because I always love some coverage from my foundation, but this product sounds amazing & like a great alternative to foundation. I really want to try it!

  9. I really love the sound of this. As you say, I've never really given it much thought as a brand but now I've read this I really want to give it a go. The thick consistency concerns me as I'm not too keen on them but i'm willing to give it a go if its good for the skin!
