I did it! I finally found a shade of red that actually suits my skin tine and that I can wear day to day without looking like I've raided a drag queen's makeup stash and applied lipstick in the dark whilst intoxicated. How often do you have to have done something before it's classed as a tradition? becasue when I go away I am or have made it a tradition to buy a lipstick from the Mac store at the Duty Free. if you follow me on IG and Twitter, you'll have noticed that I went on a trip to Rome with my little Pal, the Mother and couldn't resist picking up Crosswires Cremesheen for the bargainous tax-free price of £12, it's almost worth booking a holiday just for the Duty Free.

The lovely creamy texture of this bad boy doesn't crust my lips up and leave me looking like a Walking Dead extra which is always a bonus in my eyes. The colour is a berry tone with a pop of coral that makes it bright enough to stand out but also subtle enough to not look too OOTD in the office....or Aldi, let's face it, my life isn't that glam.

This is my absolute new, go-to shade and I think I'll definitely be re-purchasing. If you're a bit shy with the ol' red tones, prone to crusty lips, and want a pop of red that won't make you look like an Elizabethan when it clashes with your skin tone I would highly recommend some of this...and going to Rome, Rome was cool but more about that another time.
