I've been desperate to try Becca foundation for a while but never got around to it - when I was being naughty and indulging in the IT Cosmetics CC+ Cream I spotted this little set and accidentally ordered it. I've heard great things about the coverage of this foundation and as my skin has finally settled and I tanned and I have a shopping problem I decided I had the perfect excuses to put the ultimate coverage claims to the test.
There's something so luxe about Becca's packaging, it's simple yet striking and looks perfect on a dressing table and the gram - you know I'm all about the gram life. The Foundation comes in a 30ml pump bottle with the iconic Becca lettering circling the lid and a matte black bottle. The concealer is in a 4.5g pot with the Becca lettering circling the lid and looks just as stylish.
Becca products are renowned for their ability to create high performance, breathable yet pigmented products that promote full coverage and flawless and luminous finishes. The Ultimate Coverage Complexion Collection is become widely popular for it's ability to create that 'no make-up, make-up look' whilst covering blemishes and imperfections and providing a healthy glow. The water based foundation contains a multitude of ingredients that suit all skin types - probably adding to it's popularity. Whilst the finish is said the be flawless, the formula claims to be weightless thanks to it being 21% pigment and 22% water. This makes it the perfect foundation for my skin as it hates anything oil based and breaks out and cakes away immediately.
The Concealer is densely pigmented, more so than I expected but as weightless as the foundation - the concealer's denseness is probably due to the fact that it's oil based but as I don't use it on my problematic areas it doesn't pose a problem and, it seems to melt into the foundation so well that it doesn't matter. Becca advise applying the concealer on top of the foundation, under the eyes and other areas to cover and blur blemishes and enhance that flawless finish.

It's always risky business choosing a foundation shade online but I got it right with Cashmere, a neutral toned shade that doesn't oxidise and perfectly matches my slightly tanned skin. The concealer is slightly darker and more warm toned which confused me to start but it all makes sense when it's blended. As you can see from the unedited images below, worn together the foundation and concealer really do create a flawless yet natural finish that blurs imperfections and provides a healthy glow.
