Getting fit with RWL

Having a baby pretty much wrecked my body; in retrospect I could've exercised more (at all) throughout my pregnancy but I spent the first 16 weeks lying on my left side for hours on end as I was convinced something terrible was going to happen if I lifted a finger and I spent the following weeks binging on Real Housewives of New York and diving into baked Camemberts. The time has finally come where I want to get fit again - I used to go to the gym around the corner 3-4 times a week but crappy maternity pay, a baby and my poorly bits mean that this isn't an option anymore. So something better has come along - Results With Lucy!

What is RWL?

Results with Lucy is an online fitness and nutrition website founded by TOWIE babe Lucy Mecklenburgh and her PT Celia Harris - remember those old school TOWIE episodes when Lucy attended the pool party with that body, well this is how. Back when I was uni I had a three month membership with RWL and loved the booty workouts but didn't commit to it as much as I should have but since having Freddie I am back with a vengeance and the site as improved so much over the years. There's a plethora of programmes ranging from beginners to post-natal to advanced HIIT sessions. Each programme has a tonne of video workouts and conveniently each require minimal (if any) equipment and, all the equipment as well as extras is available to buy in the RWL shop for  really affordable prices. if you're interested in trying out RWL you can use a 3 day trial here.

My Body

Whilst I think it's great that women are being encouraged to love their Mum tums and not rush into losing the baby weight, I don't like my Mum tum - I want to tone up my skin and I need to lose weight because I can't fit into most of my clothes and I sure as hell can't afford new ones (remember earlier when I said maternity pay was crap, I wasn't lying) I want to get back to me, I love being Freddie's Mum and it's an honour especially considering everything we went through to have him but I am not just Freddie's Mum; I am Issy, Freddie's Mum, Luke's Fiance, Rhiannon's daughter, professional, blogger, cat woman, utter dickhead and I'm allowed to want to be me and be the best version of me that I can.

Measurements and Targets

I don't have specific amount of weight that I'd like to lose - I base my weight loss on how I feel and what fits, I feel it's a much more positive way to track it but for the sake of the post I've taken some measurements and will update these at the end of the month. I'm not going to concentrate too much on the nutrition side of things as I have a pretty balanced diet already and good portion control.

Weight: 10st

Why Choose RWL

Getting up and actually going to the gym can be enough of a chore in itself whereas with RWL  I can work out in the comfort of my own home when Freddo as asleep or even incorporate him into my routine - there are so many videos of various lengths that I literally have no excuse to not find the time. In addition to all of this, RWL is really affordable with a range of packages to suit different budgets; there's also a huge online community with RWL that supports and encourages one another which is something you don't necessarily get in the gym.
